About

I’m a Dynamics AX functional consultant working in New Zealand. I work mostly in the Trade and Logistics area – and I’ve been implementing Dynamics AX in small manufacturing companies and importer-distributors.

This blog has grown out of my day-to-day experience of implementing Dynamics AX (and occasional pre-sales presentations).

In April 2016 I became a Microsoft MVP for the first time, and this November (thanks to the support of my employer, Intergen) I attended the Microsoft MVP Global Summit in Seattle. It was – as they say here in New Zealand – ‘O’ for awesome!

I’ve just heard that my Microsoft MVP award has be renewed for 2017. I’m grateful and humbled.

  1. Very nice blog. I’m curious if you have used the Warehouse reservation setting, “Reserve only warehouse in production bill of material” What would you use this for? It’s confusing that if the reservation is only on the warehouse dimension, how would work be generated? Thanks.

    • Hi Jeff, thanks for the comment. Sorry, I haven’t had the chance to work on WHS since the middle of last year when I wrote those blog posts, and I haven’t seen that parameter, so I suggest you post a comment in the Dynamics AX community forum.
